Davenport is out - will this be her last US Open?
My gut feeling? Probably - but she has had a tough year for injuries this year, and there's always the chance she can get lots of time off to try to recover. It isn't as if she is playing poorly now, but maybe she'll move on anyway. Good luck to Henin!

I have never been much of a Justine Henin fan but even more so since she quit in the middle of a grand slam final because of a tummy ache. I still remember Chris Evert at Wimbledon having food poisoning and was taking IV fluids until right before the match, but she played on and lost in two sets honorably.

Yeah, I completely agree - I was hoping that it would be a Mauresmo - Henin rematch for the final. I just can't pull for Sharapova though - maybe as she gets older she'll be more personable, but right now, I just don't love her. Or her dad. Okay, her dad really irks me. Henin has to prove herself, but I am not sure she will do it at the US Open.
